Brainware Consultancy Pvt.ltd. is one of the PIA’s skilling the rural youths of Bengal. The PIA runs a 540 capacity training centre with a residential capacity of 360 candidates. The centre is located in the premises of Brainware University that gives a beautiful ambiance to not only skill the youth but also harness the inner strengths of the candidates. Many of us in the field of skilling will agree that to run a residential centre successfully a PIA has to focus on the quality of food and living provided to the trainees. Brainware has recently upgraded its kitchen and dinning facility by installing a rice boiler that can cook 32 Kg of rice in an hour. It has also added a potato peeler that can peel 60 Kg of potato in an hour , a toaster and a dough kneading machine that can convert 80 Kg of raw atta/maida into dough. There are presently 14 batches ongoing at the centre and all the candidates sit together for their lunch. The centre incharge and faculties make rounds during the lunch hours and have regular conversations with the candidates, taking feedback on the quality of foods. These small gestures give the candidates a feel of being in their own home and further the rate of drop out is reduced. With the upgradation of the kitchen wares, foods are served on time, are well cooked and candidates can return to their classes on time.
