International Day of Yoga (IDY 2024)
Report of activities conducted by State/UT for which NIRDPR is CTSA
On the 10th International Day of Yoga (IDY 2024), the focus was on spreading the profound message and innumerable benefits of Yoga, a practice revered worldwide for its holistic impact. The theme, “Yoga for Self and Society,” for IDY 2024 underscored its dual role in personal wellness and communal harmony.
Throughout the event, several impactful activities were successfully conducted:
- Yoga shivirs and camps were organized at DDU-GKY Training Centres, engaging trainees and faculty in immersive sessions to foster physical and mental well-being.
- Officials from NIRDPR, SRLMs & PIAs, participated in dedicated yoga camps, promoting the integration of Yoga into professional environments.
- The digital sphere saw vibrant engagement with actively sharing insightful social media posts highlighting the profound benefits of Yoga.
The collective efforts culminated in 199 events across all 20 State and Union Territories of NIRDPR as a CTSA, attracting approximately 8,800 participants. This enthusiastic participation from diverse stakeholders underscored the universal appeal and transformative potential of Yoga in enhancing both personal well-being and societal cohesion.

Counseling Cum Call Center at Himayat, J&K
Accentuating the importance of innovations in DDU-GKY scheme, especially concerning achievements of Youth trained and placed under the scheme, HMMU has signed an MOU with prestigious IIT Jammu in establishing a Counselling Cum Call Center in their Campus for DDU-GKY Himayat. The Counselling cum Call center plays a pivotal role in creating awareness of the scheme, counseling the youth, registration of candidates in Kaushal Panjee and Grievance Redressal. Other outbound activities involve tracking of placed candidates, retention in Placements, the impact of the scheme on their livelihoods, feedback on the with regard to scheme, and training. The collaboration between IIT Jammu and Himayat is anticipated to enhance the scope and effectiveness of the scheme significantly.

IIT-Jammu will provide the necessary infrastructure and technical expertise for the Counselling and Call Centre along with requisite manpower comprising two Call Executives and one Operations Manager.
Activities initiated under UNNATI by the Himayat Mission Management Unit
Himayat Mission Management Unit has conducted various initiatives to ensure the timely completion of targets under UNNATI . For the smooth operations of the scheme and completion of targets as per the action plan; HMMU is organizing various camps in various blocks and districts in collaboration with SKUAST-Jammu for training in KVKs. Other initiatives include certificate distribution at RSETIs etc..

Interaction of DIG with Himayat Candidates, J&K
On 12th June, 2024, DIG Kashmir, Sh. D.K.Singh ji (IPS) visited the Himayat Training centre located at Duderhama, Ganderbal, Jammu & Kashmir. During his interaction with the enrolled candidates in the training centre, he stressed upon the importance of skills in increasing the employability of the youth. Later he distributed the welcome kits among the trainees.

Skill Gap Analysis at HIMAYAT, J&K
Accelerating the pace for DDU-GKY 2.0 and understanding the importance of innovations in DDU-GKY scheme particularly about aspirations of the youth of UT of J&K and requirements of industries /corporates etc under the scheme, HMMU has signed an MOU with prestigious DATAWISE for conducting SKILL GAP ANALYSIS.

Women in Skilling in HIMAYAT: Saba Sharief
Whether you are a counselor, trainer or centre manager, Himayat has proved a label in empowering and encouraging the women of India. Imagining a life that is balanced for a working woman in a way that she can manage her job responsibilities along with her household responsibilities wouldn’t have been true until they started working with Himayat.
Saba Sharief joined as a Soft and English skill trainer in the Himayat project under DDU-GKY in Jammu and Kashmir.
Through one of her relatives, she got to know about the placement-linked skill programme Himayat run by Govt. of India in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir.
She was overwhelmed to see the positive transformation in the candidates. She was amazed to observe the visible transformation in the behavior, manner, dress style, makeup, and hairstyle of the candidates.
She says she feels very fortunate and proud to be a part of such a wonderful scheme like DDU-GKY Himayat.

CxO meet with the theme `The Sustainable Employment Opportunities for the Rural Skilled Youth in the State of Haryana’ was organised by HSRLM at Faridabad, Haryana
The Chief Guest of the event was Shri Mahipal Danda (Minister of Rural Development, Govt of Haryana), who emphasised the need to promote rural women to become micro entreprenuers and successful employees with the corporates. Chief Guest felicitated placed DDU-GKY Alumni and PIAs.

Training program conducted in the month of June, 2024
In the month of June’24 total 2 online training programs were conducted by the Training & Development team. The programs were conducted on topics of Captive Employment Program. In these programs 104 personnel were upskilled/ oriented on respective domains.
Online Program for the month
Online Orientation cum handholding session on Captive Employer was organized for the prospective Employers, CTSA & States on 12nd Jun’24. Total 24 participants from states, CTSA & Employers participated in the programs.
Workshop on Kaushal Bharat Module for Implementation of Captive Employment Program
As per the direction of competent authority, a one-day online orientation training program KB Module for Captive Employment Program was held on 19th Jun’24. In this workshop officials from MoRD, oriented the SRLMs officials, Employers & PIAs on the procedure & process flow of the Kaushal Bharat Module of the Captive Employment Program. A total of 84 participants attended the online training & were up-skilled.
Support to SRLMS in Capacity Building
As CTSA, DDU-GKY RC NIRDPR provided handholding support to the SRLMs as per their demand by deputing resource persons for delivering sessions on required themes. In the month, DDU-GKY RC NIRDPR deputed resource persons to deliver sessions on KB, and Project Closure in DDU-GKY in the states of Tamil Nadu and Assam. In Sikkim, the DDU-GKY team facilitated the Counselling Session for the candidate of the PIA on 17th Jun’24. Through this capacity-building, support was provided to officials of the states and orientated on relevant themes as per their requirements.
