DDU GKY – Warrier Foundation, Kerala – Industrial Visit Report
The DDU-GKY program under the Warrier Foundation organized an industrial visit to VSMC Logistics Park and E Com Express in Coimbatore for Batch-6 and Batch-7 participants on February 11th and 12th, 2025. The visit aimed to provide participants with practical exposure to logistics and e-commerce operations. A total of 68 participants eagerly took part in this educational excursion.

Industrial visits play a vital role in skill-based training programs, providing candidates with real-world exposure to industry operations. As part of the Logistics Sector – Warehouse Associate Course, the DDU-GKY Warrier Foundation organized an industrial visit for the 6th and 7th batch candidates to Ecom Express and VSMC Logistics Park, Coimbatore, on 11th and 12th February 2025. This visit was a significant learning opportunity, allowing candidates to gain practical insights into warehouse management, logistics operations, and supply chain processes.
Ecom Express, a leading logistics service provider specializing in e-commerce deliveries, provided an ideal environment for candidates to observe and understand warehouse functions, material handling, inventory management, and order processing systems.
The visit was instrumental in bridging the gap between classroom learning and on-ground implementation, enhancing the candidates’ comprehension of the logistics industry. Through guided tours and interactive sessions with industry professionals, the trainees learned about warehouse layout, inbound and outbound logistics, barcoding, scanning systems, and quality control measures.
Warrier Foundation extends its sincere appreciation to Ecom Express, Coimbatore, for their support in making this industrial visit a valuable learning experience. Participants had the opportunity to interact with various professionals, including HR personnel, warehouse supervisors, quality control officers, and logistics coordinators. These interactions provided valuable insights into the daily challenges and solutions in the logistics sector.

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) Migration Support Centre established by the Haryana State Rural Livelihoods Mission (HSRLM)
Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) Migration Support Centre has been established by the Haryana State Rural Livelihoods Mission (HSRLM) at the Panchgaon Village, Gurugram, on 1st February 2025. MSC shall act as a walk-in resource center for the migrant DDU-GKY placed youth from other districts of the State and will offer counseling, access to information, and acclimatisation support along with essential government and non-government services through SHG-run Common Service Centre.

Training program conducted in the month of February, 2025
The Training & Development team conducted 4 programs in February ’25. All four training programmes were conducted online as per the training calendar. The topics that were covered in these online trainings were PFMS in DDU-GKY, Due diligence & Inspection, Placement Procedure and Quality Management. In these programs, 173 officials of SRLMs/ PIAs were up-skilled through these programmes..
The programs were organized for the officials on 13th Feb, 25th Feb, 24th Feb, and 28th Feb’25, respectively. The online trainings were delivered by the following Resource Persons –
Shri AR Amarnath for PFMS, Shri Piyush Kumar for Due Diligence & Inspection, Shri Sasti Roy for Placement Procedure and Smt. Susmita Layek for Quality Management.
Capacity Building for SRLMs and CTSA
As CTSA as well as National Resource Organisation, DDU-GKY Resource Cell of NIRDPR has been providing hand-holding support to the SRLMs as per their demand. In the month, DDU-GKY team facilitated a 2-day workshop on Project Closure Procedure in DDU-GKY for SRLM, TSA, & NABCONS officials of Arunachal Pradesh and Mizoram SRLMs on 19th – 21st Feb’25 at Itanagar, Arunachal Pradesh. In this workshop, 25 officials were upskilled. In this workshop,Shri AR Amarnath, Shri Jagadeswar Reddy & Shri Naveen Bachu were deputed as Resource Persons to deliver the sessions.

PACE Program
As per the PACE initiative as per the request of Manipur SRLM, an online Orientation for the PIA Trainers from the state was held on 18th Feb’25. The purpose of this training was to orient and guide the trainers on the process flow and evaluation process in the LMS portal for PACE certification. The online session was facilitated by Shri Nithin Kadam, Assistant Director E-learning. In this program, 10 trainers nominated by the SRLM participated.

SUCCESS STORIES
Elishamma’s Journey from Aspiration to Achievement
Elishamma, daughter of James and Mariyamma, hails from a humble family in Palnadu, Rajupalem Mandal. Coming from a poor background, her father, a farmer, struggled to provide a stable income to support the family of four, including Elishamma’s younger brother. With financial constraints limiting opportunities, Elishamma aspired to build a better future for herself and her family.

The Turning Point:
During a mobilization camp in Rajupalem, she learned about the DDU-GKY (Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana) program through her JC’s and mobilization team. Intrigued by the Retail course offered at Skill College – Kotappakonda, she saw this as an opportunity to transform her life. With determination, she enrolled in the training program, where she acquired the skills and confidence to step into the professional world.
Career Growth & Success:
After successfully completing her training, Elishamma secured a position at Tata Zudio, Hyderabad, as a Sales Executive. Her hard work and dedication soon led to a promotion to Supervisor within a year. Today, she earns ₹22,000 per month, providing financial support to her family and ensuring a brighter future for her loved ones.
