SEEDAP organises Alumni Meet 

On December 21, 2023, the VUDA Children Arena in Visakhapatnam was bustling with excitement as the SEEDAP Alumni Meet was organised by the Society for Employment Generation and Enterprise Development in Andhra Pradesh (SEEDAP). The event aimed to gather past trainees and share their success stories, as well as provide guidance and motivation for those currently undergoing training.

The CEO of SEEDAP, Mr. MKV Sreenivasulu, gave a brief introduction about the various activities implemented by the organisation. He highlighted the success of the DDU-GKY program, which had helped thousands of youth in the state of Andhra Pradesh to gain employment opportunities through skill development. He urged the youth to spread the word about DDU-GKY in deep rural parts of the state. He passionately added “there are so many young people who are unaware of this opportunity, and it’s our responsibility to reach out to them and help them improve their lives’ ‘. 

Among the esteemed guests present, Smt. Golagani Hari Venkata Kumari, the Mayor of GVMC, Visakhapatnam, addressed the eager youth. She expressed her happiness in being a part of the event and encouraged the under-training youth to make the most of the DDU-GKY program and secure good placement opportunities.

Sri. Vasupalli Ganesh, MLA of Visakhapatnam South, also graced the event with his presence. He expressed his delight in participating in the Alumni Meet and commended the efforts made by SEEDAP in providing skill training to the youth. He urged the young trainees to utilise the opportunities provided by the government and build a better future for themselves.

Sri. Thippala Nagireddy, MLA of Gajuwaka, also shared his happiness in being a part of the SEEDAP Alumni Meet 2023. He emphasised the importance of skill development and commended SEEDAP for organising the event.

The highlight of the event was the motivational speech given by Sri. Chiranjeevi, a renowned motivational speaker and founder of Medha Language Theatre. He used different analogies to inspire and motivate the youth to dream big and work towards achieving their goals.

In addition, Sri. G. Sreedhar Reddy, Advisor to the Government for Skill Trainings and Job Fairs, requested Sri. Chiranjeevi provides English, motivational, and personality development training to the youth undergoing training in all DDU-GKY training centres. Sri. Chiranjeevi graciously accepted the request and promised to extend his services to help the youth develop their personality and prepare for job interviews.

Sri S Syam Prasad Reddy, Chairman SEEDAP along with Sri. K Ajay Reddy Chairman of APSSDC and other dignitaries present at the event expressed their pleasure in attending the SEEDAP Alumni Meet 2023 and gave valuable suggestions to the youth. They emphasised the importance of utilising the skill training provided by the government and urged the youth to grab the better placement opportunities available.

CEO, Telecom Sector Skill Council Mr. Arvind Bali while addressing the gathering he encouraged youth to take up Telecom Jobs as a career pathway and have announced the new courses coming up from TSSC, which meets the Industry demand and urged the youth to utilise the opportunity for a better career in Telecom sector.

The placed alumni shared their experiences in undergoing DDU-GKY training and how it has helped them in their work culture. Different employers also expressed their relationship with SEEDAP and DDU-GKY, highlighting their preference for recruiting candidates from these training programs.

The event was a huge success, with the youth feeling motivated and inspired to work towards a better future. SEEDAP’s efforts in providing skill training and employment opportunities were highly appreciated by all, and the alumni were grateful for the platform to share their success stories. The event ended with a promise to continue the good work and empower more youth in the future.


Director M&E visits Ram Devi Jindal Educational Charitable Society, Haryana 

Director M&E, DDU-GKY NIRDPR visited Ram Devi Jindal Educational Charitable Society, Haryana and had an interaction with the candidates and the team on 12th December 2023.


Capacity Building Workshop on DDU-GKY for Haryana District Level Committee

Capacity Building Workshop on DDU-GKY for District Level Committee was conducted by the SRLM in the presence of Director Rural Development, Haryana Govt and CEO HSRLM in Panchkula, Haryana.

Rozgar Mela, Alumni meet and Social mobilization program organised at Mahendragarh, Haryana

Under DDU-GKY scheme, a Rozgar Mela, alumni meet and social mobilization program was organised at Mahendragarh on 07 December. About 450 rural youth of Mahendragarh district were registered for job opportunities and skill training. 20 employers participated & about 200 candidates were interviewed and 140 candidates were given on the spot offer letters. 30 distinguished Alumni were also given awards during the event. 1000 SHG members also participated in the event.


Employer Engagement

  • The Gujarat CTSA officer Mr. Pratik Kumar had a detailed discussion with Mr. Jayesh (HR Manager, M/s Cogent E-Services Ltd) on the state specific and pan India job opportunities available with the organisation. He is in charge of Pan-India’s HR activities for M/s Cogent. Cogent is a renowned industry in the Business Process Outsourcing services.Mr. Jayesh explained about his long association with the DDU-GKY trained candidates and had a good impression for them especially for the Bihar & MP state candidates where the average retention is almost for 1 year. The current discussion with the employer was held just before conducting the placement Verification for a Bihar candidate who was placed in the Vadodara location of M/s Cogent. 

The bottom line is that M/s Cogent will be pleased  to give the Placement cell-NIRDPR the  assistance it needs to improve placements. 

This complies with the directives from MoRD  to identify possible employers and put them in touch with the stakeholders concerned and the individual in need later on……..


KVK training under UNNATI project by JKRLM- Himayat Mission Management Unit (HMMU)

Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Jammu  organised three days training program on Agri Entrepreneurship through processing and value addition of fruits, vegetables, & Milk to 33 participants under UNNATI project in Nagrota Block of Jammu District, J&K in the month of Dec 2023. Himayat Mission Management Unit (HMMU) assisted KVK in mobilising 33 participants for the training via MGNREGA portal under UNNATI guidelines. It is pertinent to mention here that under the UNNATI project, the target of KVK is 97.


Women in Skilling in J&K: Priyanka Thalquotra

Priyanka Thalquotra, is E-SOP certified and works as Quality Head of PIA ABM Enterprises Pvt. Ltd. working in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir in the Himayat project under DDU-GKY. ABM Enterprises Pvt. Ltd is a Delhi based organization working in three states. She joined the organization in the month of September, 2021. Hailing from Jammu District, she is an MCA Post-graduate from the Central University of Jammu. After completion of her studies she wanted to do something for the betterment of society, especially girls as she comes from a backward village area. Through one of her friends she got to know about the placement linked skill programme Himayat run by Govt. of India in the UT of Jammu & Kashmir. She immediately joined the programme as IT Trainer in Ascent Infotech with an aim to help unemployed youth to get an opportunity to be skilled in any particular trade and get placed in different sectors. After two years She joined ABM Enterprises first as a centre manager and then got promoted as Quality Head. Through KB Portal she conducted various inspections of the Training Centre and interacted with trainees and tried her best to resolve the grievances of candidates if any to ensure smooth functioning of the scheme.

She was overwhelmed to see the candidates completely transformed into new shapes. She was amazed to observe the clearly visible transformation in the behaviour, manner, dressup style makeup, hairstyle of the candidates.

During her verifications she definitely saw the difference between the trainees when they entered this training centre and after their placements, they have got so much confidence and enthusiasm and moreover focused on their work. Trainees literally thanked us and made us emotional with their words. Seeing this act of thankfulness made us realise that through this scheme so many dreams of unemployed youth came into reality.

A Parent – Teacher Meeting was conducted for discussing training performance of Trainees and also their OJT and Placement procedures in the DDU-GKY project, for the batches of CCTV Supervisor – MEP/Q7104 and Guest Service Executive (Front Office ) – THC/Q0109 trainees of Raforce India Training Academy on 30/12/2023. 


Christmas Celebration With DDU-GKY Trainees Of Raforce Security Services Private Limited / Raforce India Training Academy LLP

Christmas is an annual festival commemorating the birth of Jesus Christ, observed primarily on December 25. As a part of this Christmas Celebration, various cultural programs were coordinated by CCTV Supervisor – MEP/Q7104 and Guest Service Executive (Front Office ) – THC/Q0109 trainees of Raforce India Training Academy on 23/12/2023.


ESAF DDU-GKY Training Center Events

Job orientation program arranged by ESMACO for ESAF DDU-GKY aspirants

 As part of the work readiness module, students from Batch 17 (Phase 4) visited the   ESAF SWASRAYA MULTI-STATE AGRO CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY office at Pattikad, Thrissur on 15th December 2023.  Students had a great time  visiting the office and getting to know more about the working culture of the institution. They also had the opportunity to interact with experienced officials of the organization. This program aims to prepare individuals for the workforce by providing them with essential skills and knowledge. The orientation program covers topics such as resume building ,interview skills, professional etiquette, and workplace communication.

Christmas Celebration With DDU-GKY Trainees


Training program conducted in the month of December 2023

In the month of Dec’23 five training programs were conducted, of which three programs were conducted in online mode and two programs were conducted in offline mode at NIRDPR & Telangana. The programs were conducted on Due Diligence & Inspection, E-Learning – LMS, e-SOP Certification, Kaushal Bharat and Captive Employer ERP Process. Through these training programmes 107 personnel were upskilled. Personnel majorly from the states of Tripura, Odisha, Maharashtra, Kerala, Andaman & Nicobar, Nagaland, Rajasthan and NABCONS participated in these online training sessions.

Kaushal Bharat Training

As per the demand from the Telangana SRLM, a three day Refresher Training on Kaushal Bharat was conducted for the PIAs and SRLM officials of the state. Three Resource Persons from DDU-GKY Resource Cell viz Mr. Raghu Vamsi, Mr. Kumarswamy & Mr. Salman Raju delivered training session to the officials during the course of training. Through this training session, 134 officials of SRLM & PIAs of Telangana state were upskilled on Kaushal Bharat.

Capacity Building Workshop for newly constituted DLC headed by ADC in Haryana

As per the request of Haryana SRLM a two day workshop cum training was conducted in Haryana with the committee members of District Level Committee headed by ADC to monitor the implementation of DDU-GKY program in the state. Mr. Piyush Kumar from DDU-GKY RC was deputed as resource person to facilitate the workshop cum training.

SUCCESS STORIES

Arunesh Kumar Inspiring Success Story 

Arunesh Kumar joined DDU-GKY program and learned about Retail Sales  and got trained from Quess Corp. He began working at  Westside  Kankarbagh Patna and earned a small salary of Rs 6600. Over three years, he managed to increase his pay to Rs 14000. But things got harder when his dad, who used to earn for the family, passed away. That made Arunesh the only person bringing in money for his family of six.

He had used most of his savings, about Rs 98000, to help his father for his sister’s wedding and also funding his younger brother’s education. Arunesh also had to get surgery for his foot, which he paid for from his salary. Sometimes, when he felt down because his salary wasn’t enough, his trainers from the training center helped him feel better and encouraged him to keep going.

The things he learned during training, like computer skills, how to communicate well, and English, helped him a lot at work. He later got a better job at Centro Mall, and within four months, he became the State Team Leader, earning Rs 26000 along with some bonuses.

Arunesh’s story is about not giving up, even when things are tough. He worked hard, used what he learned, and overcame many obstacles to take care of his family and succeed in his job.

Journey towards Livelihood

50  candidates of a PIA from Assam Gram Tarang  (25 no. of  candidates from DDU GKY Guwahati center & 25 no. of candidates from DDU GKY Tezpur center) have started their journey this morning from Guwahati to Tamilnadu for OJT & placement in Jay Jay Mills & Sahana Garments respectively.

25 candidates from PIA Sun Skills Training and Research Pvt Ltd. travelled to join as Tailors at Bharat Silks Pvt. Ltd. in Bangalore

Originating from Mahasamund, Baloda Bazar, and Durg districts of Chhattisgarh, these candidates will work as Industrial Tailor with annual CTC of 1.89 lakhs signifies the commencement of a new chapter in their lives and a moment of pride for both the candidates and DDU-GKY Chhattisgarh.
