75 Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav: FIT INDIA FREEDOM RUN 2.0 Event at NIRDPR

DDU-GKY Resource Cell organised 1K run on 1 Oct 2021 at NIRDPR campus on the occasion of Fit India Freedom Run 2.0. The run was flagged off by Director General, NIRDPR. All registered participants received certificates from the website of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports for their run.

Administration & Accounts workshop at NIRDPR

NIRDPR is conducted a ‘One-day workshop on important policies and procedures related to Administration, Accounts, Vigilance and Soft Skills’. This workshop agenda is “improve the ease and efficiency in the workplace and to achieve the steep learning curve as part of one’s career progression”.


JSLPS organises CXO meet to create skills ecosystem for rural youths

A Virtual CXO meet under Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gramin Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) was organized by Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society (JSLPS) with the support of Jharkhand NIRDPR team under “Aazadi ka Amrit Mahotsav” towards Industry Institution Collaboration on Friday. Altogether, 47 participants from various Sector Skill Councils, Members for Industry Associations, Industry Partners, Training Partners from Apparel, Logistics and Health Care Sectors. 

The main objective of the event was to understand the skill ecosystem and create a common platform for various stakeholders involved in DDU-GKY and other programmes. The programme covered an assortment of issues related to training, placement, retention, post placement and career progression of the candidates trained under DDU-GKY and other skill development training programmes.

The main agenda for the CXO meet was to understand the impact of COVID -19 on the Logistics, Retail and Healthcare industry, and how JLSPS can provide and mitigate shortage of skilled manpower, to understand the hiring practices, the periodic demand, salaries, their preferences to hire women and to understand the support industry can commit to JSLPS to take the DDUGKY Scheme to the next level.

Bishnu Parida, COO, JSLPS in his welcome address introduced JSLPS to the participants and the various Livelihood schemes that the Society implements for various age groups in the state of Jharkhand. He highlighted the importance of DDU-GKY in skilling the youth of the State in various sectors.

Divya Jain, Co-Founder & CEO of Safeducate emphasized that the Logistics Sector is the largest growing sector in the world given the boom by Ecommerce platform. In the coming two years Safeducate in itself can support the placement of more than one hundred thousand trained candidates. Ravikant Yamarthy, Chief Operating Officer at Logistics Sector Skill Council was very positive on the job prospects of trained manpower in the Logistics Sector. Demand for Drivers and Warehousing professionals is very high. In-fact small warehousing is going to be a big thing in the near future, with proper mapping of the value chain this would be a great Entrepreneurship opportunity for youth with availability of small rooms and very less capital.

Somnath Dan, Head Human Resource Manager, Wow! Momo Foods Pvt. Ltd. said that retaining candidates from the Eastern India in the other parts of the states is difficult given the food habits. The demand for trained manpower in the hospitality sector is ever growing given the exponential growth in Chain restaurants.

Harminder Saini, Founder and Managing Director of Wazir Advisors stated that Organised Retail Sector was the worst hit during the C-19 pandemic. But some of the people employed in the sector tried to upskill themselves and moved up the career ladder.


14th Project Approval Committee (PAC) meeting of JSLPS (Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society)

The 14th Project Approval Committee (PAC) meeting for allocating DDU-GKY training targets to the Training partners (As per MoRD notification no- 20/2017) of Jharkhand was held on 21st October’21. This meeting was conducted by JSLPS (Jharkhand State Livelihood Promotion Society) under the chairmanship of RD Secretary Jharkhand Shri Manish Ranjan, IAS govt of Jharkhand.

Total 11 PIAs (Project Implementing Agencies) applied for DDU-GKY project at Jharkhand. NIRDPR being the appraisal agency for Jharkhand SRLM had submitted their appraisal report for all the 11 agencies to the committee members and based on it the committee members of different departments of Jharkhand evaluated all the proposals and then shared their feedback.

Visiting Report of COO-Himayat

COO Himayat Mission Management Unit, Smt Deepika K. Sharma (JKAS)  visited Terrier Security Services, Residential Training Centre at Jammu on 18th of Oct 2021. Smt Sharma  interacted with Trainees and guided them regarding the training and its benefits, job opportunities after completion of this Training Program and building career in organised sectors. She also guided them to focus in IT and Softskill Skills for Enhancing the IT and Communication Skills for better career options

Smt Sharma interacted with Trainers and advised them to follow curriculum as designed along with imparting practical skills.


WELCOME KIT DISTRIBUTION AND TRAINING CENTRE VISITED BY SPM (Mobilisation & Counselling),HIMAYAT MISSION MANAGEMENT UNIT  KEWAL KRISHAN SHARMA (JKAS)  21/10/2021

Each batch consists of 32 women candidates. The welcome kit includes uniform, cap, ID card, domain and non-domain books, notebook, etc. The candidates were addressed by SPM (Counselling and Mobilization) Kewal Krishan (JKAS).
