Orientation on DDU-GKY Program for Manipur SRLM Officials

Orientation training on DDU-GKY program for Block & District level officials of Manipur SRLM was held at NIRDPR Hyderabad from 25^th to 29^th Sep’23.

The purpose of this training was to orient the officials on the DDU-GKY program and upskill them to vision and plan the activities under DDU-GKY program for their districts and block. In this program 70 block coordinators, district coordinators & SRLM officials of Manipur state were trained and upskilled.

SMD of Manipur SRLM Smt Bandana Devi IAS, addressed the participants at the valedictory and presented the certificates, in recognition of their successful completion of the training program.

Challenges in placement verification: A peek into a work schedule of a CTSA Officer

How challenging is placement verification, can be inferred by looking at these photos and videos of Shri Jyoti Ranjan Matha, CTSA Officer, NIRDPR traversing the Sahebganj area of Jharkhand, which is also a Naxal belt, where no vehicle or bus can go. Jyoti Ranjan had to cross a river, a forest, agriculture land, and a small mountain to reach the placed candidates. While doing so, he reached the candidates’ homes and verified the candidates. The candidate and her husband were DDU-GKY trained, and the husband is still working in Haryana in the logistics sector.

World Heart Day (ALEAP) – ALEAP DDU-GKY

World heart day is observed every year on 29 September worldwide to spread awareness about cardiovascular disease. ALEAP DDU-GKY conducted activities like chart presentation, awareness speech highlight the precautions and perilous part of cardiovascular disease.

Antodaya Diwas (ALEAP) – ALEAP DDU-GKY

25 September is observed as Antyodaya Diwas to mark the birth anniversary of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay a noted philosopher, historian and political activist. ALEAP DDU-GKY observed this day by emphasizing his vision of uplifting the weaker section in the society through speech and chart presentation.

Teachers Day (ALEAP) – ALEAP DDU-GKY

September 5 is celebrated as Teachers day on the birth anniversary of Shri S.Radhakrishnan the first President of India who himself was a teacher. Teaching is a noble profession which enlightens students who are the future of our nation. Nurturing them by imparting right knowledge at the right time is a crucial part of the teaching community which they do meticulously with passion and love. The students of ALEAP DDU-GKY conducted various activities to honor and appreciate trainers. Through speeches, cake cutting, and games the program was conducted and concluded with presentation by students to express the gratitude and admiration for the trainers.

Job Orientation program arranged by ESMACO for ESAF DDU-GKY aspirants on 12.09.2023

As part of work readiness module, our students from batch 12 (Phase 6) visited the ESAF SWASRAYA MULTI-STATE AGRO CO-OPERATIVE SOCIETY office at Pattikad, Thrissur on 12.09.2023. Students had a great time visiting the office and get to know more about the working culture of the institution. They also had the opportunity to interact with the experienced officials of the organization. This program aim to prepare individuals for the workforce by providing them with essential skills and knowledge. This orientation program covered topics such as resume building, interview skills, professional etiquette and workplace communication.

On 05/09/2023 under the leadership of SREE NARAYANA EDUCATIONAL & CHARITABLE TRUST a meeting was called with all the Kudumbashree CDS members of Uduma Constituency to discuss the importance of DDU-GKY project and ways to find candidates. We were able to make a very good result through this.

Counselling Session, Due Diligence, Infrastructure Re-check by HMMU & NIRDPR in Himayat Training centres in J&K

With the recent developments in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir with regard to commencements of training in DDUGKY-Himayat, NIRDPR CTSA team based at J&K supported HMMU in initiating batches by conducting counseling sessions of PIAs ensuring screening of candidates via Kaushal Aapti App, assisting SPMs in conducting Due Diligence and infrastructure re-check of Training centers wherever required. Training Commencement in the month of September 2023 was 247.

An employment program was organized under Deen Dayal Upadhyay Gramin Kaushalya Yojana at BCS Training Center, Kotdwar, Pauri Garhwal. 250 trainees participated and out of these 250 trainees 204 trainees were selected.

HSRLM conducts awareness campaign for mobilisation of candidates under DDU-GKY scheme

HSRLM conducted awareness campaign for mobilisation of candidates under DDU-GKY scheme in Kaithal district under leadership of Dr Amarinder Kaur, CEO HSRLM on 28-09-22. During this campaign, 850 candidates participated. Certificates were distributed to the successful RSETI candidates. Candidates from RSETI and DDU-GKY shared their experiences. This concerted effort is aimed at creating more awareness about training in the area by the Government.

The launch of the awareness campaign for DDU-GKY and RSETI schemes in Haryana marks a significant step towards inclusive development through different trainings.

Training program conducted in the month of September 2023

In the month on Sep’23, total 05 training programmes and workshops were conducted, of this one programme was conducted in offline mode at NIRDP&PR Hyderabad and four programs were conducted in online mode. The programs were conducted on topics of Project Closure Procedure, Financial Procedure, Placement Procedure and Kaushal Bharat Modules. The total participants in these programs were 294.

Name of the candidate: Yegnam Kalyani

After completion of OJT, PIA has provided Captive placement to said candidate in their company itself I.e KSSPL as a security Guard on 22.01.2019 for a salary of Rs. 8511/-

After working for almost 2 years and 4 months, on 1st May 2021 she got an opportunity in Adani Skill Development Center as an Administrator cum Hostel Warden for a salary of Rs.16,811/-, further on April 2022 she got a promotion as a Junior Officer, Admistration and MIS with the salary of 18,711/- as the candidate is having sound knowledge on MS-office & Excel, she has been continuing in the job.

Kusum: Successful Retention (More than 12 months of Job Placement) & ESIC Beneficiary

Kusum, Daughter of Late Mr. Jaiprakash lived in Rewari Khera, District- Jhajjar. She belongs to SAKHI MAHILA SHG and a very poor family. She completed high school but due to financial problems she had to drop her further studies and started looking for a job. As her family income was less than Rs.6000 per month, she was the only ray of hope for her parents.

After completing her schooling, she helped her mother in agricultural activities but now she is earning and also helping her mother on weekends and whenever needed. She was counselled through a Community Resource Person at an SHG “SAKHI SAHELI SHG’’ group Meeting with her mother and then visited center for further decision making to join DDUGKY program. She finished training and joined the job.

In her own words: “My name is Kusum, I am a resident of Rewari Kheda village. My mother belongs to an SHG “SAKHI SAHELI SHG’’ group. I am from a poor family. There are 6 members in my family. My three younger sisters, a younger brother and have mother dependent upon me. Through an SHG meeting, I came to know about DDU-GKY and that a job is provided after training. The condition of our family was very bad, as my father had also passed away. My mother took loan from SHG for agricultural activities. Then I gathered some courage to join this training center of Cantabil. it’s a good program for us, We came to see the center as we were told during the meeting that all the facilities like admission, books, stay and food would be provided, at no cost. We liked the facilities here. I took admission here and availed all the facilities and training here. After 65 days of training, along with one month OJT (On Job Training), I got a job in Cantabil Retail India Ltd. Company itself in quality checking department as QC. I worked for 4 months as during the last month of employment I had an attack of Paralysis in my entire Body, while working in the company. The company took me to a good hospital immediately.

On January 27,2023, I underwent a surgery, however the entire expense of treatment were covered through the E.S.I.C received from the company. This Job through DDUGKY program, benefited me a lot because as I could not have afforded a huge of amount of approx. Rupees 9 Lacs, towards Surgery, Hospitalization and Medication. After 2-3 month’s of proper rest, I joined the company again and now I am working in good health. I also received part of my Salary for sick leaves during recovery period, as ESIC benefit. Being the eldest daughter of the family, all the responsibilities of the house are on my shoulders, which I shall be able to fulfil very well. I am also an inspiration for my younger sisters and other girls in my village. I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to the Cantabil, DDU-GKY, HSRLM, Ministry of Rural Development and Government of India.”
