Under Iconic Week- Celebration of International Women’s Day- on 7th March 2022- “Mobilization drive for women-centric courses in DDU-GKY” was conducted in States and UTs. Collectively, 137 mobilization camps were organized wherein around 4000 candidates participated

DDU-GKY Resource Cell, NIRDPR Celebrated International Women’s Day 2022
The Women’s Day was celebrated in the DDUGKY Resource Cell of NIRDPR. Women officers of the DDU-GKY division were presented with handcrafted cards with a handwritten message. A video was made on all the women employees of the unit, as a gesture of gratitude by the male professionals of the DDU-GKY division. The celebrations were solemn and the women employees acknowledged and expressed their appreciation for the efforts made by their male colleagues for breaking biases.

International Women’s day in Arah, Jharkhand
Prabhat feri on International Women’s day in Arah.
On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the centre team of M/s Basics Ltd. Arah celebrated this wonderful event by organizing a road march from the Centre to Dharahara via Sapna cinema, Waligang. The objective of the road march was to make people aware that women have been struggling continually for their existence and their presence. Over the course of time, many strong women, who raised their voices against patriarchy, emerged and made a mark in history. That is why, on this day, it is very important to celebrate women around the world as it marks a call-to-action for accelerating women’s equality and break biases. 40 Women and 50 Men candidates along with their Trainers participated in the Road march.

Mobilisation drives for women centric courses
Mobilisation/Counselling drives conducted for women-centric courses like Assistant Beauty Therapist, Self Employed Tailoring, Sample Tailoring by two PIAs viz., M/s Learnet Skills and M/s PMG commerce Edge Foundation. Two camps were organised on 7th Mar, 2022 and 68 women candidates participated.
Rally by DDU-GKY for Trainees on Importance of Nutrition
Rally was conducted by women trainees on the said subject with placards by three PIAs viz., M/s Learnet Skills, M/s ABM Enterprises, M/s Brite Neon Signs Pvt Ltd at different locations. Altogether 127 women candidates participated in 3 rallies besides training staffs of PIAs.
International Women Day Celebrations @ Learnet Skills, Jammu
M/s Learnet Skills Himayat Training Centre, Jammu (Kunjwani) organised International Women’s Day (IWD) under Iconic Week Celebrations on 7th Mar, 2022. Although, the IWD is celebrated on 08 March, festivities commenced a day earlier in keeping with the methodology and ethos of Himayat where community engagement and counselling of the deserving and eligible unemployed youth is a precursor to the commencement of training leading to successful placement. The celebrations began with an impressive presentation on the importance of IWD wherein it was emphasized that the Day is celebrated as an ode to womanhood, the inclusive and wired nature of a woman as a creator of life. A colourful and well-choreographed song and dance presentation was made by the women students of the Learnet Skills Training Centre highlighting the many facets of womanhood and their calibre and capacity to excel. Women trainees participated in several events like Fashion Show, Singing, Debate, Poetry and Dance.

KARNATAKA:

Conducted Review meeting with the Placement head of the PIAs that have the placement attainment of less than 50%.
Orientation to newly on boarded TSA (NABCONS) in Karnataka
On February 8th and 9th this year, CTSA (NIRDPR) team stationed at Karnataka delivered a physical interactive session on DDUGKY orientation. A comprehensive overview on DDUGKY implementation was provided to 13 TSA personnel by briefing them on
- Guidelines of DDUGKY – broadly;
- Status of implementation in Karnataka;
- About MIS platforms (KB, MPR, MRIGS & ddugky.info) and dependence on those platforms;
- Stakeholders and their respective work engagement.
The session was fully interactive and based on the interests shown by the participants and virtual sessions conducted by CTSA training team.
JHARKAND:
Interaction with “Self Help Group” “VLO” in Jharkhand Ranchi Block
The CTSA team, NIRDPR of Jharkhand interacted with “Didis” of “Self Help Group”, “VLO” in Jharkhand (Ranchi Block) to understand the extent of their participation in and cooperation with DDU-GKY program. We motivated them to participate as much as possible so that unemployed youth specially women candidates of the village can get jobs through DDU-GKY Project and give financial assistance to their families for their livelihoods.

BIHAR:
Alumni meet and Certificate Distribution at Vaishali, Bihar
Alumni meet was held by BRLPS at Vaishali in which certificates were also distributed to the candidates. CTSA Team of NIRDPR was also present at the alumni meet.
KERALA:
Kerala SRLM Training for PIAs
Kerala SRLM conducted Training Session for PIAs with the support of NIRDPR State Team.
PACE TOT at Kerala
Kudumbashree, SRLM Kerala conducted PACE ToT for two batches of trainers. The Master Trainers who were certified through PACE ToT earlier conducted the training for the two batches. Trainers spoke about how useful the training would be for DDU-GKY candidates during an interaction and feedback organised at the end of the workshop.
The Rank Charitable Trust, Kerala: Procedures and adherence of Candidate Selection in DDUGKY
The Rank Charitable Trust for Education Pookarathara, Malappuram, Kerala which is working as a PIA for DDUGKY has adopted a series of standardized selection processes. After students’ counselling session, the domain and non-domain trainers sit with the counsellor and discuss the traits and evaluate the knowledge, personal skills and attitude of the candidates and update the details of evaluation in the candidates’ dossiers. It helps to maintain the zero dropout in a batch and also identify the state of the candidates so that the trainers are able to understand how they can develop and groom the candidates.

Report on counselling of the candidates
The PIA provides counselling to the interested candidates from mobilization. The session is conducted through online Zoom application along with the parents of the candidates. Here a PPT for counselling is used. It includes details of Project, PIA, details of course, eligibility criteria, documents required for admission, class room training, facilities provided by the PIA to the candidates, training centre rules and hostel rules. Counselling sessions are recorded and kept as a document by the PIA.

Inauguration of ‘Niyukti Kendra” By Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim
At the inauguration of ‘Niyukti Kendra” By Hon’ble Chief Minister of Sikkim, the Chief Minister addressed the candidates of DDUGKY, ITIs and other State run skill programs. The event was held at at Manan Bhawan, Gangtok.
JAMMU AND KASHMIR:
Awarding of Appointment letter to DDUGKY candidates-JKRLM
Appointment letters were awarded to 16 women candidates by State Project Managers of HMMU-JKRLM trained by PIAs Apollo Medskills and ABM enterprises on 13th Mar, 2022. Candidates were trained in Emergency Medical Technician (Advance), Warehouse Claims Coordinator and Office Assistant and placed in sectors viz., Emergency Medical Technician, Logistics and Quality Assurance. Offer letters were distributed to the placed candidates by the employers like BVG India Ltd and Rajnish Business Solutions (Zeiss Pharma). Working Experience was shared by 2 placed women candidates of Himayat programme who have been working for more than 3 years.

Love Green Association:
The peaceful campus of Love Green Association is situated in Kalpetta, Wayanad, Kerala.
Love Green Association was sanctioned the DDU-GKY project in February 2021 (Phase 11) to provide skill to 525 candidates after successfully completing previous targets. In that 525 the 140 targets were for the Airline Customer Service Executive (AAS/Q0301) with add-on course of Airline Reservation Agent & Airline Ramp Executive.
