Training Program conducted in the month of May, 2026<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

DDU-GKY Resource Cell as CTSA has to provide support in capacity building activities organized by the state. In the month, a two-day workshop was organized by Gujarat SRLM from 29 \u2013 30 May\u201926 at Ghandhinagar Gujarat on DDU-GKY2.0 SOP Guidelines with focus on Inspection & Mobilization for the SRLM officials. In this program, our officials Shri Piyush Kumar (PO M&E, NIRDPR) was the resource person who delivered the session and facilitated the workshop. The objective of the workshop was to upskill and handhold the SRLM officials on SOP and Guidelines of the DDU-GKY 2.0 program. In this workshop, about 25 district officials, TSA officials, PIA Q Team and Operations team were upskilled.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Webinar on Promoting Inclusive Livelihood Opportunities for Transgender and Gender-variant youths in Rural communities<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Centre on Integrated Rural Development for Asia and the Pacific (CIRDAP) conducted an insightful webinar on promoting inclusive livelihood opportunities for transgender and gender variant youths in rural communities. The webinar  highlighted a project jointly implemented by CIRDAP and the National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR)- “Action Lab for Inclusion of Transgender and Gender-Variant Youths in Mainstream Livelihood” in 2025. The initiative explored innovative approaches for integrating transgender and gender variant youths into mainstream livelihood systems through four Action Labs: one in Pollachi, Tamil Nadu and three in Baruipur, West Bengal in collaboration with Community-based organisations and Gender Activists.The DDU-GKY Resource Cell of NIRDPR had steered this Action Lab. The Webinar presented the tested pathways to inclusive and dignified livelihoods for rural transgender persons, and the key outcomes of the livelihood Action Labs. The outcomes of the Action Labs will serve as replicable and scalable models for more members of the Rural Transgender Communities and the insights will serve as a guideline for such initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Vineeth V M, success was never just about a pay-check, it was about finding genuine satisfaction in one’s work and life. At 33, with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from MG University, Kottayam, and parents who worked as daily wage labourers to support their middle-class household, Vineeth understood the value of hard work from an early age. Yet after completing his graduation, he spent two years exploring different paths, searching for the right direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That direction arrived in the form of a six-month training opportunity that would change the course of his life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Turning Point Through Training<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vineeth enrolled in the Banking & Finance Associate course under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY), training at the ESAF DDU-GKY Centre in Thrissur. Over six months, the program equipped him with far more than banking fundamentals, he developed essential computer literacy, English language proficiency, and interpersonal skills that would prove invaluable in his professional life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vineeth speaks highly of his time at the training centre, crediting the quality of the tutors and the supportive hostel facilities for making the learning experience comprehensive and comfortable, allowing him to focus fully on building his skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Training to a Career in Banking<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following the successful completion of his course, Vineeth was placed at ESAF Small Finance Bank in Kanjirappally, Kottayam, for a three-month OJT Training period. His dedication during this phase paid off, he was subsequently offered the position of Relationship Manager at ESAF, with a starting salary of Rs.18,000\/- per month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For Vineeth, this achievement carried significance beyond the salary itself, it was the satisfaction of meaningful work that mattered most. He spent two fulfilling years at ESAF Small Finance Bank, building his expertise and confidence in the banking sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Continuing to Grow<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, Vineeth has advanced further in his career, now working as a Sales Officer at ICICI Bank with a salary of Rs. 24,000\/- per month, a clear reflection of the steady growth that began with his DDU-GKY training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflecting on his journey, Vineeth describes DDU-GKY as the turning point that redirected his life toward success, opening up possibilities he hadn’t previously imagined for himself. He firmly believes in the value of the program and wholeheartedly recommends DDU-GKY courses to others seeking a similar transformation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vineeth’s journey from two years of uncertainty to a steadily growing career in banking, stands as a testament to what is possible when the right training meets genuine determination. Empowering Dreams: Aswathy V’s Path from Training to a Thriving Aviation Career<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

For Aswathy V, a young woman from Wayanad, Kerala, the path to a fulfilling career didn’t follow the route she had originally planned after completing her degree. Like many graduates, she found herself at a crossroads, uncertain of which direction would lead to real opportunity. That uncertainty changed the moment she discovered the Airline Customer Service Executive course offered under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDUGKY), delivered by Love Green Association.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In June 2021, Aswathy enrolled in the four-month residential training program, choosing to pursue a career in the aviation industry \u2014 a sector she had long admired but never quite imagined herself entering. The decision would prove to be transformative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A Foundation Built on Skill and Support<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The training program did more than teach technical skills; it reshaped how Aswathy saw her own potential. Under the mentorship and structured guidance provided by Love Green Association, she developed the industry knowledge, communication skills, and professional confidence needed to step into a competitive field. She often describes those four months as a turning point, a period that gave her not just a qualification, but a new sense of direction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The First Step: Bengaluru<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Soon after completing her training, Aswathy secured her first job in Bengaluru as an Airline Cargo Executive, earning Rs. 15,000\/- per month. It was a modest beginning, but a meaningful one. It marked her formal entry into the aviation industry and gave her hands-on experience in cargo operations knowledge that would become the bedrock of her career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Four Years On: A Career Transformed<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, four years since she first stepped into the industry, Aswathy works as a Customer Coordinator with Air Arabia at Sharjah Airport, earning approximately Rs. 1,00,000\/- per month. The growth both professional and financial reflects not just her own determination, but the strength of the foundation laid during her DDUGKY training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Her current role places her at the front line of international airport operations, where she represents her airline and her country with the same professionalism instilled in her years ago during training. From a trainee in Wayanad to a customer service professional in the UAE, her journey reflects what is possible when opportunity meets effort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Giving Back to Her Family<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Perhaps the most meaningful outcome of this journey, for Aswathy, is the ability to support her family financially. What began as a personal career goal has become a source of stability and pride for those closest to her – a tangible return on the investment made in her training.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Reflecting on her journey, Aswathy speaks with deep gratitude toward DDUGKY and Love Green Association. “The training and guidance I received played a significant role in shaping my career and helping me reach where I am today,” she shares. For her, this is more than a job, it is the realization of a long-held dream, made possible through skill development, mentorship, and an opportunity that opened doors she once thought were out of reach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
