In the month, three programs were organized by DDU-GKY RC, NIRDPR. All three were online programs organized according to the demand received from the SRLM and PIAs operating in the DDU-GKY ecosystem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Online Training Programs\/ Workshop<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the month three online programs were organized by DDU-GKY RC. As CTSA for DDU-GKY program an online program \u201cGetting Started with DDU-GKY2.0\u201d was organized for PIAs &amp; SRLM on PAN India mode. On 20th Jan\u201926 \u201cGetting Started with DDU-GKY2.0&#8243; was organized with PIAs who were new to the DDU-GKY ecosystem and on 21st Jan\u201926 the same program was organized of the existing PIAs in the system. The objective of this online program was to orient the PIAs and their staff on the DDU-GKY2.0 commencement processed and the MIS system flow in the Integrated Portal. The resource person for these two onboarding programs were Shri. LA Santosh, Project Manager DDUGKY RC, NIRDPR and Shri. Jeevan Reddy, Asst Director, DDUGKY RC NIRDPR. In the two programmes, more than 150 officials of PIAs and SRLM were oriented on DDU-GKY2.0.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The session received positive feedback from the participants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>An online training session with PIAs and SRLM officials of Tripura was organized on 29th Jan\u201926. Through this session the officials were oriented on the PER &amp; DD process in DDU-GKY2.0. The resource person for this online session was Shri. LA Santosh (Project Manager, DDUGKY RC, NIRDPR).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">State Support in Capacity Building Activity as CTSA<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>AAs CTSA DDU-GKY RC team from time to time facilitate SRLMs in capacity building activity for DDU-GKY program. In the month our team at Tamil Nadu state facilitated the SRLM in multiple training programs conducted by state. The SRLM organized online workshop on DD&amp; PER for the PIAs on 9th Jan\u201926, and a one day training of their district level officials at Chennai on 22nd Jan\u201926. In both these programs Shri LA Santosh (Project Manager, DDUGKY RC NIRDPR) delivered sessions and oriented the officials on respective topics of the training. The department rolled out a high- energy Awareness &amp; Mobilisation Camp to spotlight DDUGKY 2.0 (Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana) and other key Centrally Sponsored Schemes, drawing enthusiastic crowds eager to upskill and empower their futures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" width=\"576\" height=\"436\" src=\"http:\/\/kaushalsamachar.ddugky.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-4.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6509\" srcset=\"http:\/\/kaushalsamachar.ddugky.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-4.png 576w, http:\/\/kaushalsamachar.ddugky.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-4-300x227.png 300w, http:\/\/kaushalsamachar.ddugky.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-4-200x150.png 200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p> Spanning a dynamic week the camp served as a one-stop hub for information, counseling, and on-the-spot registrations. Over 300 individuals successfully registered on the department\u2019s official portal, marking a significant step toward skill development and employment opportunities across Sikkim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/kaushalsamachar.ddugky.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-5.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6510\" width=\"415\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"http:\/\/kaushalsamachar.ddugky.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-5.png 596w, http:\/\/kaushalsamachar.ddugky.info\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/image-5-300x289.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 415px) 100vw, 415px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>This initiative underscores the Government of Sikkim\u2019s commitment to inclusive growth, bridging rural youth with national skill-building platforms.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Secretary RDD assesses performance of PIAs under Himayat 2.0<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Secretary, Rural Development Department (RDD) and Panchayati Raj, Mohammad Aijaz Asad, IAS, reviewed the performance of Project Implementation Agencies (PIAs) under the Himayat 2.0 programme and emphasized expediting skill training and employment opportunities for the youth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Chairing a review meeting at Panchayat Bhawan, the Secretary directed PIAs to enhance their performance and ensure timely achievement of targets. While appreciating agencies that have shown commendable results, he issued a stern warning to non-performing PIAs, asserting that no compromise would be made when it comes to the future of the youth<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He informed that under the Action Plan for FY 2025\u201326, the Apex Committee has approved 13 projects with a training target of 2,248 candidates, against which 1,365 candidates have already been enrolled so far.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The Secretary reviewed district-wise progress of training centres operational in Srinagar, Pulwama, Baramulla, Bandipora, Doda, Jammu, Kathua, Samba, Rajouri, Udhampur, Poonch and other locations. He noted that various skill trades, including Office Assistant, Retail Sales Assistant, General Duty Assistant, Supply Chain Executive, Front Office Assistant, Multi-Skill Technician and F&amp;B Service Assistant, are currently being imparted through approved PIAs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The Chair directed that projects would be withdrawn from non-performing PIAs. He added that the training process would be closely monitored and warned that persistent non-performance could invite disciplinary action, including blacklisting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Secretary assured PIAs that all genuine grievances would be addressed and that the department is extending full cooperation. However, he emphasized that improved outcomes are expected.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>He directed the Chief Operating Officer, Himayat, Rajneesh Gupta, to conduct field visits and inspections of training centres. He further stated that Deputy Commissioners would also inspect centres in their respective districts to assess the quality of training, facilities and infrastructure. He underscored the programme\u2019s significance for youth who have had to discontinue their education, stating that skill development linked with employment is vital for their socio-economic upliftment. He added that the programme would be reviewed regularly at all levels and cautioned PIAs against any form of negligence.
