Capacity Building Program on Skill Development for KVIC Officials<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

As per the requirement of the KVIC, a five-day workshop was designed and conducted for KVIC officials at NIRDPR Hyderabad. The purpose of these workshops was to upskill and orient the officials of KVIC on new possibilities in skill development. This workshop was also intended to provide an opportunity to introspect on the skill development training programs currently on offer and break new ground. In the first batch scheduled in November 2024, 23 officials attended. The training program covered the topics of Mobilization challenges, strategies, tools and techniques, Skill Development Ecosystem, QPs & NOS, Entrepreneurship, Aspect of Self Employment, Branding and Marketing of Khadi Units, and Exposure visits to T-Hub, T-Works, RTP, and RESTI. The sessions were delivered by NIRDPR faculty and external experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Director General of NIRDPR, Dr G Narendra Kumar, IAS, inaugurated the training for the batch and set the direction for the training. The Director General urged the participants to focus on skilling in aspirational blocks, sound needs assessment, modernization of curriculum, market relevant skill training, infusion of modern technologies to help scale the products and services of the beneficiaries of the training being imparted by KVIC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Punjab Skill Development Mission organized capacity building on Financial procedure & Operations Management for the Project Implementing Agencies of DDU-GKY who have received Additional Targets based on their performance according to the prescribed criteria. Mr. Madan Devineni and Mr. Suraj Shakti CTSA, NIRD&PR were the resource persons for the session organized by the Punjab Skill Development Mission on 22 November 2024 at Hotel Mount View, Chandigarh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 17 September 2024, Smt.Jaspreet Talwar, IAS (PS to the Govt. of Punjab) and Smt. Amrit Singh, IAS, Mission Director, PSDM, led a CxO meeting. Shri. Aman Arora, Minister for Skill Development for Entrepreneurship for the Govt. of Punjab, graced the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event theme was \u201cShaping the Future of our Youth and workforce.\u201d Eight panelists from various fields participated in the intellectual discussion and guided the skilling partners present during the event. The panelists also included Shri. Ranghey Raghaw, Asst Director, NIRD&PR as a member.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Review Meeting under DDU-GKY Sikkim – 26th November 2024<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A review meeting under the Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) was held on 26th November 2024 at the Conference Hall, Niyukti Kendra, Deorali, Gangtok. The meeting was chaired by the Chief Operating Officer (COO) of DDU-GKY Sikkim, along with the Joint Chief Operating Officer (JCOO) DDU-GKY, Project Officer DDU-GKY, and the State Team. Distinguished participants included the Mission Manager (State Partnership) from the Ministry of Rural Development (MoRD), Government of India, and the Project Officer from the National Institute of Rural Development & Panchayat Raj (NIRDPR), Hyderabad. Representatives from the Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) were also in attendance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The meeting commenced with a formal welcome to all participants, followed by an address from the Project Officer, DDU-GKY. He provided an overview of recent developments, including the issuance of a new memorandum from the MoRD for the sanctioning of additional targets to high-performing PIAs. The eligibility criteria for PIAs were underscored, alongside a detailed update on the overall status of DDU-GKY in Sikkim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The next phase of the meeting involved a detailed review of each PIA (both active and inactive), conducted by the Mission Manager (State Partnership), MoRD, GoI, and the Project Officer from NIRDPR, in collaboration with the DDU-GKY state team. The representatives emphasized that no training commencements would be permitted after 31st December 2024, and no extensions for projects would be allowed beyond this deadline.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The review concluded with remarks from the COO of DDU-GKY Sikkim, who provided a summary of key observations and outlined strategic directions moving forward. These were discussed and unanimously agreed upon by all members of the Project Approval Committee (PAC), ensuring alignment on the next steps to enhance the effectiveness of DDU-GKY initiatives in the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nayee Chethana National Gender Campaign<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Kudumbashree Mission successfully conducted the \u2018Nayee Chethana\u2019 National Gender Campaign at Kalpetta New Bus Stand, aiming to promote the message of gender equality. The event, held with great enthusiasm and public participation, was inaugurated by Shri O.R Kelu (Minister of scheduled castes, scheduled tribes and backward classes) who emphasized the importance of fostering gender equity in society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One of the key highlights of the event was a flash mob performed by DDUGKY students from the Lovegreen Association. The vibrant and engaging performance effectively conveyed the campaign\u2019s core message of gender equality, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kudumbashree DMC Sri Balasubramanyan P.K. and ADMC Smt. Rejeena VK, ADMC Smt. Seleena KM ,ADMC Sri. Ameen K and other Kudumbasree officials and members were present at the occasion, lending their support and encouragement to the initiative. The event was well-received and marked another step forward in kudumbashree\u2019s continuous efforts to create a gender-sensitive and inclusive society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Badminton Competition<\/span><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The Love Green Association organized an exciting badminton competition on 10th November at the Love Green Badminton Court. The event featured participants from two batches: the Aviation batch and the Hotel Management batch. Both boys and girls actively participated, showcasing their enthusiasm and skills in the sport.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The competition witnessed intense matches as both teams competed with determination. After several thrilling rounds, the Aviation batch emerged victorious, demonstrating excellent teamwork and talent.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event concluded with a trophy distribution ceremony, where the winning team, the Aviation batch, proudly received the championship trophy. Their remarkable performance and sportsmanship were applauded by all attendees, making the event a memorable one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lovegreen Association participated in the two-days Disha Career Expo 2024, organized by the Career Guidance and Adolescent Counselling Cell under the Government of Kerala. The event aimed to guide higher secondary students in exploring educational and career opportunities. Lovegreen Association set up an info stall to highlight free courses offered under central government schemes. Among numerous institutions, Lovegreen stood out as the only organization providing free courses. Teachers and students from various schools and parents participated in this expo. Lovegreen Association\u2019s contribution was recognized with a Certificate of Appreciation, reflecting its impactful participation and commitment to education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The grooming industry plays a crucial role in professional fields like hotel management and aviation, where appearance and personal presentation significantly impact client impressions. Recognizing this need, The Lovegreen Association conducted a one-day grooming skills development session for hotel management and aviation students on 28 November 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This program aimed to enhance the students\u2019 grooming skills, which are essential in their respective industries. The session was facilitated by Miss. Shafna, an expert grooming faculty, who provided training on makeup techniques, skincare, and professional dressing. The program was well-received by the participants and successfully met its objectives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Training program conducted in the month of November, 2024<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Training & Development team conducted 6 programs and workshops in the month of November ’24. The array of programs conducted includes two online & four offline programs at NIRDPR. The programs covered topics on e-SOP, Placement Procedure, Kaushal Bharat for Captive Employers and Monitoring & Evaluation in DDU-GKY. In these programs officials of SRLMs, KVIC, Captive Employers & PIAs were up-skilled in the respective themes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Online Program for the month<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Online Programs on e-SOP & Placement Procedure<\/span> was organized for the officials of on 22nd<\/sup> Nov\u201924 and 20th<\/sup> Nov\u201924 respectively. A total of 79 officials of SRLMs & PIAs were up-skilled through these programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Offline Programs for the month<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the month 3 offline programs were conducted at NIRD&PR campus in Hyderabad. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On 27th \u2013 28th Nov\u201924 a 2-day national level Comprehensive workshop on Kaushal Bharat for Captive Employment <\/span><\/strong>was organized with MoRD officials, SRLMs & Captive Employers. The workshop intended to determine the role of NIRD&PR in Skill Development. In this workshop, 67 officials participated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second offline program in collaboration with Rural Technology Park for Capacity Building Program on Skill Development for Khadi Units under KVIC<\/span><\/strong> (Batch -I) was organized from 25th<\/sup> to 29th<\/sup> Nov\u201924. In this program 23 officials participated from KVIC centers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The third program was the Monitoring & Evaluation of DDU-GKY Program<\/span><\/strong> with Assam SRLM officials from 25th<\/sup> to 26th<\/sup> Nov\u201924. In this program, 14 officials from SRLM, DDU-GKY M&E, and the Kaushal Bharat team participated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The fourth program was a workshop on Captive Employer (Kaushal Bharat) Development with PMA DDU-GKY<\/span><\/strong> and Kaushal Bharat Development Team, NIRDPR which was organized on 29th<\/sup> to 30th<\/sup> Nov\u201924. In this workshop 22 officials including the DDU-GKY MIS, NIRDPR team participated.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Support to SRLMS in Capacity Building<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a capacity-building organisation and CTSA of DDU-GKY, NIRDPR has provided handholding support to the SRLMs as per the demand. In the month DDU-GKY team facilitated a 2-day capacity-building program on DDU-GKY for SRLM officials & PIAs of Punjab on 21st<\/sup> \u2013 22nd<\/sup> Nov\u201924 at Chandigarh. In this workshop, 40 officials of SRLM & PIA participated. In this program, Shri Suraj Shakti & Shri Madan Kumar were the Resource Persons for this workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
