The objective of this workshop was to revisit the role that NIRDPR has played in skilling rural India and to contemplate the potential roles of NIRDPR in skilling rural India to facilitate a variety of choices for rural India as a productive force for sustainable livelihood. During this workshop, the experts from the eco-skilling system and the industry discussed technological advancements and skilling opportunities in various sectors like manufacturing, renewable energy, e-commerce, healthcare, agri-tech, food processing &amp; service industries. The workshop was conducted under the chairmanship of Dr. G Narendra Kumar, IAS Director General NIRD&amp;PR.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this workshop expert for the skilling sector participated and shared their views and insights on the subject of the workshop. In the workshop, panel discussions on the following topics were conducted:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Bridging Rural India with India Inc through skilling to enhance productivity: Opportunities &amp; Challenges. The discussion was chaired by Shri Kumar Sandeep (Head of Recruitment)-Sodexo &amp; Shri Uday Menon-Former President IPCA.<\/li><li>They were leveraging demographic dividend for Global Opportunities. The discussion was chaired by Dr.Shrinivas Pulijala-CEO, of Apollo Medskills, and Dr. Madhuri Dubey- Founder Director, of NSN.<\/li><li>Skilling Rural India for Entrepreneurship. Chaired by Shri. M RadhaKrishnan-GM, GVK Group and Shri. Douglas Pimenta-Head of Recruitment, Carnival Cruise Support Services (P) Ltd.<\/li><li>Meeting Global standards through Skill Development Initiatives with NIRD&amp;PR. Chaired by Shri Abhinav Balyan-President &amp; CEO, Chamber of Commerce.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There was a special address by Guest of Honour Shri Santosh Mathew, former bureaucrat and Country Head, Gates Foundation on the topic of \u201cLearning from global skill development models towards Vikshit Bharat 2047\u201d and on \u201cReimagining the Role of NIRD&amp;PR in Skill Development for Rural India\u201d by Shri RCM Reddy, former bureaucrat, MD &amp; CEO, Schoolnet India Ltd.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop was concluded with a Round table discussion on \u201cReimagining the role of NIRD&amp;PR in skill development\u201d chaired by the Director General.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The workshop concluded with valedictory &amp; a vote of thanks by Shri L Sudhakara Reddy-Director, DDU-GKY. During the inaugural meeting, he emphasized that the SEEDAP would work on Skill-Development, Entrepreneurship, and support for Self-Employment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>SEEDAP Chairman. Deepak Reddy G has stated that by establishing collaboration among stakeholders and focusing on entrepreneurship, SEEDAP aims to fulfil the government\u2019s objective of generating 20 lakh jobs within five years. He further stated that Employment and Entrepreneurship shall be two basic objectives where SEEDAP shall be working on. He invited all stakeholders to come up with Innovative ideas which could help SEEDAP achieve the goal of 1 Lakh Jobs per year. He mentioned that Industry standard Quality Training and Quality Placements shall not be compromised in its journey of achieving the goal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The sessions produced valuable insights and actionable strategies, leading to an overwhelming sense of optimism among participants. &#8220;It&#8217;s refreshing to see the government taking such a proactive role in addressing unemployment. The event was organized by the Kudumbasree District Mission Wayanad in collaboration with the District Administration and TMC Karapuzha Irrigation Development.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-red-color\">Parents Meeting Report \u2013 14th October 2024<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>On 14th October 2024, Lovegreen Association hosted a parents\u2019 meeting for aviation and hotel management students, providing an opportunity to discuss student progress, placements, and practical experiences.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Faculty provided an overview of upcoming placement opportunities, discussing recruiting companies and career paths available for the students. Parents were assured about the job prospects and the organisation\u2019s ongoing efforts to facilitate successful placements. Provided a complete report on the students\u2019 academic and practical performance, highlighting progress made in their respective fields. Faculty ensured that students would continue to receive guidance and support for their personal and professional growth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Training program conducted in the month of October, 2024<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Training &amp; Development, DDU-GKY RC, NIRDPR organised 5 training programs &amp; workshops in the month of October &#8217;24. The programs conducted include two online and three offline programs at NIRDPR. The programs covered topics on PFMS, Project Closure, Induction into DDU-GKY Programs, and workshops on Role of NIRD&amp;PR in the context of Viksht Bharat. In these programs, 213 officials of SRLMs &amp; PIAs majorly from the state of Arunachal Pradesh, Telangana, Maharashtra, Kerala, and Uttar Pradesh were up-skilled in the respective themes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Online Program for the month<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Online Programs on PFMS &amp; Project Closure were organized for the officials on 28<sup>th<\/sup> Oct\u201924 and 29<sup>th<\/sup> Oct\u201924 respectively. A total of 140 officials from SRLMs &amp; PIAs attended these programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Offline Programs for the month<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the month, three offline programs were conducted at the NIRD&amp;PR campus in Hyderabad. On 4<sup>th<\/sup> Oct\u201924 a one-day workshop with skilling sector experts, Employers &amp; SRLM officials on \u201cEnvisioning the Role of NIRD&amp;PR in Skill Development in the Context of Vikshit Bharat 2047\u201d was organized. The workshop intended to determine the role of NIRD&amp;PR in Skill Development. In this workshop, 40 delegates from the skilling ecosystem and industry participated. The second offline program was the Induction of staff under the DDU-GKY Program of ArSRLM, which was organized from 14th to 18th Oct\u201924. In this program, 27 officials participated from the SRLM. The 3rd program was Kaushal Bharat Training of Officials TNSRLM from 24th to 25th Oct\u201924.
