In this conclave CEO\/SMDs and COOs from all the states and UTs participated. The event was held at the IHC New Delhi. The objectives of the conclave were to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>Discuss the intricacies of the program and to push standard-led skilling agenda for the rural poor<\/li><li>Discussion on timely payment The meeting was convened to analyze the current status of Himayat scheme (PMDP Project) besides deliberating on strategies aimed to ensure effective implementation of the ambitious programme in the UT. Highlighting the significance of the scheme in fostering economic development and employment opportunities, the Secretary called upon the authorities concerned to further step up efforts towards ensuring successful implementation of the scheme benefitting maximum beneficiaries. He asked the Rural Development Department to provide information on the existing gap between the training imparted to the prospective beneficiaries and the subsequent placement opportunities extended to them. The prime objective behind launching this schemes is to facilitate the trained individuals with gainful employment. Sri Aijaz Asad took stock of existing flaws in smooth execution of the scheme and asked the officers to work out and recommend remedial measures to contain those impediments for obtaining the set targets under the programme. He exhorted upon the officers concerned to work collaboratively towards refining the implementation strategy, addressing challenges and streamlining the process to achieve the scheme&#8217;s overarching objectives. &#8220;The Himayat scheme stands as a testament to the Government&#8217;s unwavering commitment towards socio-economic development of people of Jammu and Kashmir. Through sustained efforts and periodic reviews, the administration aims to fine-tune the scheme, ensuring its efficacy in providing skill development and employment opportunities to the youth of the region&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">RDD to empanel IIT, IIM, NIFT, Universities as PIAs for placement-linked youth skilling initiative in the UT of J&amp;K<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Rural Development Department (RDD) and Panchayati Raj will empanel premier institutes in Jammu and Kashmir as Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) for implementation of flagship placement-linked skilling scheme, and converge with associated departments, banks and training institutes for outcomesbased skilling and placement initiative. Secretary, Rural Development Department and Panchayati Raj, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary (I.A.S.) took a comprehensive review of the placement linked skill training program Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Grameen Kaushalya Yojana (DDU-GKY) in Jammu and Kashmir, need for capacity building of rural youth and expansion of scheme. It was decided to approach and assist the premier Government education institutions of repute for engagement as PIAs for a credible skilling and placement endeavour of the Jammu and Kashmir Government. Emphasizing the need for greater rationality in the selection and training process for youth, Dr Shahid Iqbal directed officers to explore the possibility of incorporating Government educational and technical institutions as Project Implementing Agencies (PIAs) in this program. Secretary highlighted the importance of selecting deserving candidates for training and ensuring effective supervision of the training process. He stressed the need to clarify the program\u2019s initial stages, training procedures, and prospects for participants. Referring to the success of schemes Mumkin and Tejaswini of Mission Youth J&amp;K, Dr Shahid suggested understanding such programs to derive benefits from their experiences, and replication of best practices. He said that skill development is only beneficial when paired with sustainable employment for the youth. Dr Shahid Iqbal encouraged exploring self-employment opportunities, considering the current environment\u2019s potential in this realm. He asked the officers of the program management unit to explore the possibilities of including the Indian Institute of Management Jammu, Indian Institute of Technology Kashmir, SKUAST University, Jammu University, Kashmir University, Schools of Business Management, and other such Government educational and technical institutions as PAIs in the program, and to seek full support from RSETIs and Krishi Vigyan Kendras as well. He stressed on the need to register state cooperative societies and semi-Government agencies as PIAs as well. Recognizing the importance of robust infrastructure, Dr Shahid Iqbal directed officers to seek capacity-building analysis from prestigious institutions like IITs and IIMs. He further emphasized the crucial role of technical, financial, and managerial support in any program\u2019s success. Stressing the need for strong political will and administrative backing, Secretary envisioned DDU-GKY as a mission-driven initiative with the potential to significantly improve the lives of thousands of young people in Jammu and Kashmir. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2><strong><span class=\"has-inline-color has-vivid-cyan-blue-color\">Himayat Celebrates Republic Day in J&amp;K<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Himayat celebrated Republic Day with full enthusiasm and gaiety across all the training centres in Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. A series of activities like Chart Making, Rangoli Making, Songs, Dances, Symposium, Debates etc were organised in weeklong celebrations. National Flag Hoisting took place at HMMU office, Jammu. The theme for the National Youth Day was \u201cArise, Awake, and Realise the power you hold\u201d. In the view of the 162nd birth anniversary, DDU-GKY department of TRLM supported the Youth Affairs &amp; Sports Department in conducting the event.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em><br><\/em>The Hon&#8217;ble Chief Minister of Tripura, Shri Dr. Manik Saha, and the Hon&#8217;ble Minister (Youth Affairs &amp; Sports) were the chief guests of the event. On this occasion, DDU-GKY candidates took part. Addressing the gathering the Hon&#8217;ble Chief Minister said, Swami Vivekananda was a great pious leader, philosopher, and also a devout personality with great principles. It is because of that knowledge that the whole world will be eternally grateful to Swamiji for the way he propagated Sanatan Dharma in Chicago, America, and it is unimaginable that the standard of India was sitting high at that time by taking Sanatan Dharma to the court of the world. At that time, he fought against the British and encouraged the youth to take a leading role in India\u2019s freedom struggle by taking responsibility for Mother India. PIAs in Tripura organized educational excursions in the month of January that took candidates outside the classroom to explore new places, cultures, and experiences. Educational trips serve many purposes, including enhancing classroom learning, promoting social and emotional development, and exposing candidates to real-life situations. The incident took place when Bhargavi went into labor and called for an ambulance through the government&#8217;s emergency service number 108.<br><br>The ambulance, with EMT Fakruddin on board, arrived at the scene and rushed Bhargavi to the nearest hospital. However, midway to the hospital, Bhargavi started experiencing intense labor pains and was unable to hold on until they reached the hospital. With the help of EMT Fakruddin, Bhargavi safely delivered a healthy baby girl in the ambulance itself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The couple, Bhargavi and her husband Narayanaswamy, were overwhelmed with gratitude and expressed their heartfelt thanks to EMT Fakruddin for his quick and efficient response.
